I don't think alcohol makes you do things that are outside your own nature; alcohol lets you do things you secretly want to do when sober!

So if alcohol makes you violent, your a frustrated, violent individual that just locks everything away during everyday life. I don't think domestic abuse can be treated as an alcohol problem, like alcoholic dependency. It's more a social issue.

Alcohol is relatively inexpensive and there has been an increase in it's availability.
