By the same reasoning William Hill should sue winners for the return of their money.

I am now taking legal action against every brewery whose beer I have drunk and the makers of Southern Comfort, ( a bottle a week in the late 70's ), that should bring me a tidy sum.

Welcome to New Labour Britain.

Full rights, no responsibilities.

Maybe I should sue for the mental distress caused by reading about fools like this.
We have need of you again, great king.

Which is bollocks.

Progressive politics means Rights With Responsibilities.

We need a written constitution for the UK that makes all this clear.

Well, apparently William Hill have such a procedure to stop people from gambling, and the argument is that they didn't implement it properly, allowing him to lose all that money.

If that's a procedure they dreamt up themselves and guarded it with the right kind of provisos in the smallprint then he should not stand a chance with his case. If, however, bookies are required by the authorities to have procedures of that kind then not implementing them properly could prove costly for W.H.
