The people with charity vests on a street are not from the chrity they are selling and get commission.I had someone shake a tin at me in Morrisons and ask..'Do you want to help handicapped childre?'. I smiled and walked on then I phoned the manager. He apologised. The colectors are told NOT to do that sort of thing but some of 'em cant help themselves! It is banal .Must agree that the commission creamed off is often massive.

I had some tosspot from 'Big Issue' come up to me on Friday outside Argos trying to sell that rag of theirs. I told him, as I've done on numerous other ocassions , to "fuck off and shove it sideways right up his poxy arse!".

That told the homeless bastard! And if you're going to be scornful or rude to a homeless guy, always do it in the coldest months of the year I say, the scummy fuckers!

Way to go, Trumpy! !thumbsup!

What really gets me annoyed, especially with those 'Big Issue' bastards, is the aggressive manner in which they conduct themselves. The borderline violent way they stick their tawdry rag right under your nose. This is why I now adopt a similar robust stance against them.

And I'm sure the vehemence you deliver keeps them warm. Scrounging, good for nothings.

Must make me an easy mark, though, because I always buy a Big Issue when I get the chance. Don't read it, like, but I do buy it.

I think I have regaled this forum about the occasion when one of these 'Big Issue' bastards attacked me?

'No Thanks' has always worked for me Trumpy.

The majority of young homeless people are kids who ran away from home due to sexual abuse/religion/beatings and have no family who care.

I'm not saying they're all genuine and you should pass on your hard-earned money, but if it's a month with an average of -3 at night, and they've only some newspaper and a cardboard box to comfort them later on, can you find it within you to just be civil?

No hand-wringing, no Guardian subscriptions or beret wearing - honest. Just a bit of civility to a homeless guy on a freezing cold day.

Many moons ago I used to say just that. That change when one day one of these bastards attacked me for no reason. It was a completely unprovoked assault. Needless to say I defended myself in a pro-active fashion.
