There is a Minder site that hasn't been updated in a long time, but has great location pics of Terrys flat, The Winchester etc.
Brilliant TV show, but when I watch 'em now, you realise just how one dimensional Dennis Waterman is, and how genius George Cole is

George Cole was very lucky in that he learned from the best, Alastair Sim. And he recognised the treasure that Arthur Daly would be. Waterman probably thought it would be his show, or at least a partnership, but found himself playing second fiddle to a consumate professional.

Not in the first series, it was ALL Terry McCann, and George was a convenient side part, but after the first series, the writers KNEW they'd struck a gem and developed Arthurs character, as well as giving Dave the Barman a few more scenes and lines as he was very underused in the beginning.
It was also classed as Drama before shifting to Light Entertainment.
See how popular Del Boy is in Only Fools and Horses? The writers used a lot of scenes of Arthur Daleys as inspiration for wheeling and dealing.
My good mate Magoo is an expert on Minder, he'll put anyone right on the subject

I didn't watch it religiously, Ace, so I bow to your superior knowledge---but my comments with regard Sim and Cole are probably accurate. And putting a character nugget of purest gold, such as Daly was, in front of Cole, he'd always recognise its worth.

Saw an interview with him where he claimed he'd paid someone ?20 after being told of someone saying, "the world's your lobster." There's the money, keep shtum---then he introduces it on TV as a Dalyism. The best know when they have been given the best to work with.
