M-A-D, I couldn't lead the flatulence orchestra after a three-week bean and sprout diet. I use this place, as a number of others do, as somewhere to unwind, let off a bit of steam (not the flatulence variety) and generally howl at the injustices of the world. I have no time for the lamp-post pissing battles for supremacy.
I long for the days when I could come home from work, log in here and laugh out loud at the inspired lunacy of Lizard, jj, Holden MacGroyn, Buttsie and Magoo (before he started seeing assassins behind every bush). There were times I would have tears running down my cheeks, and that is a real treasure when you've had a stressful shift at work and are wound up tighter than Jordan's bra strap.
People moved on, for different reasons, and new folk arrived. "President" Wazza annoyed everyone; I don't think there was any of the regular posters---myself included---that didn't call him a wanker at some stage. Once we got used to him, and realised that the character needed to be taken with a pinch of salt, the attitude changed. But some---usually those whose political arguments he dismantled with a mixture of hard fact and sheer pedantry---nurtured resentment, and that stayed and festered.
I don't pretend to understand the agendas of folk who post here. All I can say for certain is that this is an offshoot forum on a porn reference site. If people are fighting for position of top dog, what does that say about them?

Whilst I will miss Jacques who was never anything other than a good bloke who was always willing to help anyone with PC problems, I certainly won't miss Wazza.
As stressed here and elsewhere he was a bully who had nothing better to do than type his bollocks to anyone and everyone who he felt he could get one over on.
Three key personnel deserve credit to standing up to him and taking him to task on his own supposed superior intelligence to which they easily bettered him on numerous occasions; they are Magoo, Mike Freeman and Officer Dibble........I might have disagreed with some of the posts these three have contributed in the past on certain subjects, but I whole heartedly applaud them, particually Magoo for standing up to Wazza, especially when he tried it too far with other respected forumites here.
I had seriously contemplated sacking this for good, it used to be a cracking little corner of the web until certain cunts had there own ulterior motives for posting their bollocks......and I hold my hand up for posting bollocks in the past. But now 'he' has gone, I am staying and hopefully will enjoy posting and reading other members input...even if I don't agree with it, I will accept he/she has a right to their opinion without causing me to ram their beliefs down their throat and bullying them with my own self importance of a higher intelligence...........if that makes sense.

Steve is one of the nicest guys you could meet, he has never, to my knowledge, slagged anyone off here, he has never taken the moral high ground and is happy to post his own brand of bollocks that makes mostly everyone here appreciate his wit and input. Steve is a diamond, without a doubt---without him, the chances are the OT would never have existed.
I too was disgusted by that post, as expressed elsewhere. Given the rules of the forum, though, and given just natural decency, why was it allowed to stand? As last night showed, and no doubt today will continue to show, deletions can and do take place. If I could have bet the mortgage on any post being deleted, that would have been the safest one to bet on---and yet it survives.

The moderators were always quick to delete shite, but were always slow on a sunday morning when we could post ANYTHING (Before it was an O/T forum) from the old forum.
Woodgnome, Alec and Phil were usually on the ball on that score.
However, it appears certain mods have left these shores, and as a result, LOTS of posts that are slanderous, snide and generally bang out of order remain.
I honestly believe that within a few weeks, the moderators would have pulled the plug on the O/T forum such was the nastiness, liberous posts people were posting.
I think we need a celebrity death to take our minds off these past few days
