I suspect that the tabloids will jump on this tomorrow- the South Wales press will.

But, as ever with second-hand stories on the 'Net- treat with a very large pinch of salt:

The Cyber world is very much a giant version of Chinese whispers. Still, even if there is no basis to this story, it won't stop the tabloids going daft with it. Another excuse to fill pages with photos of dead Welsh teenagers.

Bottom line, you can never be absolutely sure of who you're speaking to online; with no face reading available, it's difficult to tell what people's motives are. Everyone has their own agenda.

Did those Welsh suicides take place in front of a webcam?

If they did, it hasn't been made public, and the police have gone out of their way to deny rumours of a suicide pact sect or community. There seemed to be a sense of the media fuelling the story.
