At last, a feel good story about crime and punishment in Brown?s Britain. It seems that a pikey, scally, scumbag, tried to rob a shopkeeper while armed with a knife the other day. There was a struggle and, praise the Lord, the scally waster was, er, wasted. The CPS has strangely decided not to press charges against the victim of this attempted robbery - as they might have done in the past.
So, could it be that the CPS and other public service snotty fuckers are finally getting into step with the views and attitudes of ordinary voters - instead of pandering to the dangerously airy-fairy whims of ivory tower dwelling Islington luvies?
Also, should the hero of this story, Tony Singh, be awarded some kind of public service or outstanding citizenship medal in recognition of his contribution to making Britain a marginally nicer place to live? Is Tony Singh a roll model for us all? Should we try to live up to him and do the decent thing by chinning a chav ourselves?

I think (or at least hope) that this - along with the fact that in the past week alone, we've seen two murdering scumbags told that they'll die in prison and a third sentenced to a minimum of 34 years up the river - could indeed signal a turning point of the type that Dibble so eloquently descibes above.

A similar event happened a few years ago near me at a post office in a Worcs. village, Dibbs.
Scummie chummie decided to hold a handgun to sub-postmaster. Postie was opening newspapers wrapped in twine with a clasp knife- and stuck the knife in chummie's chest. To the hilt.
Chummie DOA- and again, no prosecution- the first time this had been done.
Postie had a rock legend ready to pay for his defence in full; and a village and neighbouring towns in total support.
BTW- you've noticed no names and no packdrill, Dibbs- but a clever guy like yourself will find out where it was. The reason for no names on this Forum is I began drinking there a year later and always seek out Postie for a beer. He's a lovely, quiet, nice guy- and never wanted any publicity a la Tony Martin. In short- he's just like us.

NO they are not getting into step with the views and attitudes of ordinary voters. They looked at it but there wasn't a case that could be answered.
