Ah ha...Thats equality for ya! Nowt wrong with showing how the white folks live. maybe us fellows of the darker persuasion can learn something about our white fellow counterparts that is not from John Bormans "Hope and Glory" ( A bloody good film by the way officer. You seen it?)

To be fair, I have often thought the white man was under attack from all corners, blacks, women. gays, foreigners but then all those different factions saw the white male as in a position of dominance and at the centre of all oppression in the world.

Hopefully the white season will redress this balance and we can all get on with just living with each other.

If it was called this and the programmes were like Made In Britain, Scum, Down Fall and The Football Factory i would be concerned.

I do believe this issue has been going strong since the early Thatcherite era, this was not helped by the media in the Steven Lawrence case of course , when the white working class were wholesale-ly demonised, it still has examples now, so called chave culture is a very good indicator of how the middle class look down apon the once upon a time working folks, and of course they are not the working class anymore, they are the UNDERCLASS, the traditional distinctions between the middle class and the working class have been blurred within the last fifeteen years, as a result those whom don't fit in are marginalised, and a young white heterosexual male of working classs origin, whom is unequiped in this service or " knowledge economy" has very few options, there is not the alternative for him of meaningfull indusrial or agricultural working, he's simpley reduced to a chav, sponger, or a drunken b.n.p. facist.

Most of the men in last nights programmes were pleasant chaps but stuck in a time warp.Their club failed because they did not really grasp the date is 2008 and not 1968.Sad but there you are.

The BBC have gone about this 'White Season' in the wrong way imo.

I watched Newsnight on Thursday (March 6th) and was mortified by Nick Griffin's comments.Anyone who votes BNP seriously needs a reality check.

I regard myself as 'working class' but i certainly do not hold any grudges on immigrants,especially immagrants that are contributing to our tax system.

My grudges are with the feckless,ferral people of Britain that have no respect for authority,let alone respect for themselves.I also begrudge the Goverment that defends and funds these people.

New Labour has betrayed the working class by initially getting our votes back in 1997 and leaving us to rot with lie after lie.

The working class people of Britain,regardless of skin colour or religion etc deserve to be heard,but if the BNP is the only working class party that will heed our call then we are fucked.

To be fair, in not entering discourse with him, they give Griffin an easier time. They took the easier option that made them look good rather than having some bottle and putting him down verbally.

Also, Griffin has just as much right to be heard as them. Would they have declined an known Islamic cleric that goes around Mosques preaching fascistic theory and death?

Those politicians have just thought of their own image rather than the serious issues.
