Yes,the 'lovable' Guv'nor of world football is at it again.
Now he wants Birmingham City player Martin Taylor banned for life for his challenge on Arsenal striker Eduardo two weeks ago at St Andrews, which left Eduardo with a broken leg.He also would'nt stand in the way if Eduardo or players like him that suffer long term injuries sue their tacklers,or as Blatter worded them as 'attackers'
This is the man that famously wanted goals three times the size that they normally are.
Women footballers and officials to wear tighter shorts. And too many other crazy ideas to mention.
I don't know about you but i've certainly had a gutfull of this buphoon.
If there is a Satan out there.Once you take Thatcher with you, make sure you take this braindead tosser with you soon afterwards.

Re: Sepp Bladder
I do agree that at times Blatter should engage his brain before he opens his mouth.
However I saw that interview on Sky Sports with Dan Roan last night and where as I can't claim to have been watching it that closely as I was reading the paper at the same time, but did he actually say that Martin Taylor should be "banned for life" as the media are suggesting today?
I remember him saying that they (thugs) should be "banned from the game" but he didn't put a time span on what that ban should be.
Maybe I'm heard wrong as I said I wasn't listening intently.
One thing I do agree with is his 6 and 5 proposal of having 6 English players in the starting line up. It's probably unworkable under EU law but alot of clubs have lost their identity in recent times and it would definitely help our national team.

The limit on foregiener's in English club line up's i think you'll find is more Platini's brainchild,Blatter just approves the idea.Maybe he's shitting himself that Platini is after his job, which he will get eventually.
You did'nt hear wrong eduardo.Blatter said that dangerous tacklers should be banned for life which i find ludicrous.
Football is a contact sport and the moment it goes from 'trial by TV' to the courtroom,we might as well all go home as tackling will be outlawed and the game will become boring and lifeless as players will be scared of lawsuits and all other sorts of crap.
It's not broken Sepp, don't fix it.

Spot on Alice.Injury is part and parcel of sport, unless you're in the comfort of a Snooker hall, the oche throwing darts or at home flicking tiddly winks.
Imagine if Prescott/Livingstone ever made Sport's minister?.They way they feel about Motorists, they would definetley throw motorsport out the window as it would be deemed 'too dangerous' !whistle!

True, but sounds very creepy when a relic like Blatter suggests the idea.Dave Wells wrote:

Topless boxing a la Germany is good.
They don't even see it as odd- the men are topless, so why not the women?

In the early to mid 90's that now defunked trashy cable TV channel 'Live TV' done topless darts which was a joy to watch.

Get of your high horse as I never said anybody should be banned for life and if you read my post again you'll see that I was just trying to clarify what Blatter's position is or was as the press can be shock, horror be prone to exaggeration at times.
I never even expressed a personal opinion on the "banned for life" issue.
