Platini is a disciple of Blatter and effectively his right hand man.

Some could or would say he's even Blatter's bitch. If Blatter gets his way then Platini will succeed him although Blatter will probably try to hold onto power as long as he canb.

Indeed it was a sad day when Platini took over at Uefa because up until that time Blatter controlled the whole of world football except Uefa and his differences of opinion with Uefa and Lennart Johanson at least kept Blatter on his toes.

Now he has his right hand man running Uefa, Blatter effectively has carte blanche to do whatever he wants.

As for the "banned for life" issue then I don't agree with it but I do think that somewhere something is wrong when Martin Taylor gets a 3 game ban for a bad tackle which breaks a players leg and Jeromie Alliadiere gets 4 games for nothing more than a playfull slap. That doesn't seem quite right to me.

4 or 5 games for Taylor and 1 or 2 for Alliadiere would have been more appropriate.

It is a great idea but hardly a new one as Blatter has borrowed this one from Women's Beach Volleyball from the 90's which prevented their tops and bottoms from being over a certain size.

The idea being that the smaller they were then that would attract a bigger audience.

Still it would be nice to see.

Speaking as a pervy male, yes, it would be nice to see. But I doubt serious women footballers would be in agreement, and nor should they. It turns their sport into a freak show---the equivalent would be publicising the men's game by playing Barton or Savage with the promise that they would punch someone's lights out during the game.

My comment (and I suspect maybe some of the others) was made tongue in cheek mate.

I agree with all those points made.

As much as i hate Middlesbore,Steve Gibson would have my untold support if he took legal against the FA for the way they handled the Allaiadiere debarcle.

I'm sure the FA make it up as they go along.eduardo wrote:
