Classical Music Buffs... Name that tune???

Post by Snow Patrol »

Please look at the following video...
At approx 25 seconds in, music starts in the background...
You get about 10 seconds of it... Can anyone tell me the correct name of the musical piece?

Thanks :)

Know the tune, but can't say with any certainty who the composer is.

I don't think it is a classical piece.

OK, its not 'proper' classical, but its certainly not 'modern' or 'pop' either...

Perhaps a better description might have been to say 'Operatic'...

Anyone else ?

It isn't from an Opera either.

OK, thanks... At least its getting narrowed down a bit...

Just had a thought...

Was it possibly used in an advert for something at some point?

It was a pop hit in the 1960s.

My best guess is that it was written by a German or Austrian and performed by a band or light orchestra - Joe Loss, for example.

A colleague is looking into the matter for me.
