Just wondered if any of the technosaurs out there had any thoughts on porn via torrents? Any preferred networks/products?

My impression is that downloading from p2p sites carries with it considerable risks, in terms of viruses etc. Is this so, or am I out of date?

Yeah, free is OUT there... But if you ant quality and no risk f virus then pay...

If your going to steal, (Which is what it is) then why should you expect advice on how to do it with minimal risk?

I'm hearing people are even having problems after downloading movies and having to get the password from a site where they have to fill in a questionaire or get spyware on their computers as well as viruses...

Goes to show even free comes at a price.

Bottom line for me is p2ps & torrents give hackers easier access to your computer.If you set it up incorrectly you can give total strangers complete access to your computer

Some smartass criminals are even setting up their own fake rapid share sites because of its popularity

I've always used paysites, despite the massive variation in quality, but for older stuff (my current obsession is Tabatha Cash) it's difficult to find content concentrated in one decent site, and who wants dvds cluttering up the place?

I'd suggest that avoid P2P such as Limewire - it's riddled with all sort of nasties. A mate of mine used Limewire and later on discovered that he'd 20 trojans on his computer!!

And yet you pay for the full version to avoid the built in trojans. I prefer to use itunes now, even if I`m paying its only 80p, the downloads quicker and there`s no added surprises.
I wouldn`t bother with bit torrent either but I can`t download The Opie and Anthony show any otherway. None of it`ll matter soon though the way ISP`s are going. The internets not for downloading. You pay these company`s like talk talk for fuck all

I was going to change my ISP to Talk Talk, but I read plenty of negative comments about them so I stayed with BT.
