Once again another total cock-up from BA in the opening of the new terminal 5.
Britain is becoming the laughing stock of the world and heads should roll.
I don't expect they will and the upper management will probably get promotion.
I cannot understand why they don't close terminal 5 down and divert the aircraft to other airports until they get the baggage situation sorted out. Or is that too simple for BA management
Airport Cock-Up
Re: Airport Cock-Up
Funnily enough I watched a programme 0n Ch5 the other night called Big, Bigger & Biggest, it was devoted to T5.
A great deal of the prog was dedicated to the baggage handling system which was described as 'state of the art', no other airport in the world will have such a great system, it was designed so that bags can not be lost.
Ha, Ha, Ha.

Quite why this has merited the ubiquitous television news coverage it has received is somewhat baffling.
It is just travel news, surely?

Could it be a slow news week?

Wouldn'tit be refreshing for someone to resign or get sacked over this.AsI write there are still 1500 bits of lost luggageat the airport. What a fucking disgrace.I will never fly with BA...the Worlds favourite airline?..more spin, smoke and mirrors!
Re: Airport Cock-Up
IN fact, it's worse than 1,500 pieces of luggage - I believe they're saying FIFTEEN-TWENTY THOUSAND cases are still to be reunited with their owners.
"World's favourite airline?" As Jim Royle would no doubt reply: "MY ARSE!!!"
What a joke - but not if you're awaiting your luggage! !furious!

I'd have laughed more if it all went tits up when The Queen opened it last week.
Usual stories of insufficient training and cheap labour cropping up. If I was employed there as a manuel worker on minimum wage, do you think I'd give two fucks if the system worked or not?

It might be that vast sections of our media are Londoncentric. They, falsely, believe that any news outside London and the Home Counties isn't really worth covering.
Would there be this huge amount of coverage if this had occurred at Liverpool or Glasgow airports? Methinks not.
