Obama started off as my favourite but after spouting on about his church, and God, he's fallen in my estimations (though still infront of the others).

Just like here, where both the right and left have moved to the centre, I don't think there's all that much difference between them all, politically, which leaves the voters voting purely on personality.....so, far me, it's Obama........just.

In spite of the ugliness of the candidates, it's all just a beauty pageant: who they can make look most attractive to voters.

I've no idea what Obama stands for; Clinton at least is a known quantity; McCain was on the left of the Republican Party, but had to shift his position on various policies to win approval.

At least the last time around, we knew John Kerry was just a haircut.

The second time around, any decent candidate put forward by the Democrats would have beaten Bush. Why they chose a charisma vacuum with no policies is beyond me.

Sam, you did say they are moving to the political centre ground, but don't forget, in America the centre is far more to the right than this country. I think what seperates Obama and Clinton, is that Obama is a fan and follower of Regeanite economics(not Thatcherite which is different). Franckly I have little intrest in the process, I like McCain because he speaks far less shite than the other two!

Quite right. America is America (and long may it continue to be so) whether it is Democrat or Republican it doesn?t make all that much difference. Though I'm sure they're all capable and worthy, I too am leaning towards Obama. He's a good, nay, charismatic speaker and he has a presidential air about him. But the best thing is it will shoot the fox of America?s enemies - particularly those snotty white middleclass elitist fuckers in Europe who have long been irritated that America's huge wealth and success have been the result of rampant capitalism. These resentful, middleclass, sniffy fuckers like to put it about that America is a vulgar, white dominated, imperialist bully of a nation whose ethnic minorities are sorely repressed and exploited. So imagine their discomfiture when they find they are having to speak out against a black/colored/mixed race chap who has got to where he is fairly and squarely without any of that degrading 'affirmative action' bullshit that is so beloved of middleclass luvies.
What? So you don't think 9/11 had something to do with the attitude of the USA towards people in other countries over the years.
Definitely not. As much as I think Bush is a prick, he'd only just got into power when the 9/11 attacks occurred, which must have took months of planning. Much terrorist activity is funded by Billionaire Arabs, who are supposedly our friends, and 75% of suicide bombers are middle-class citizens.

It's a BIG mistake, and something they want, for us to blame ourselves for militant, highly politicised Islam. They hate the west and everything we stand for. (the 'they I'm referring to shall be called 'Islamists', not 'Muslims')

I've only skimmed this article but please read about how Islam has/is pressuring the UN in changing policies regarding freedom of expression....amongst other things, no doubt.

At the moment, Islam is trying to fuck us up the arse, and in Europe especially, we're helping them 'lube up'.
