Immigration ? NuLab Taking The Mick?

Post by Officer Dibble »

So there you have it. A cross party committee has concluded that the only people NuLab's open door immigration policy has benefited are the immigrants themselves and the fat cat bosses of large corporations. Ordinary folks have experienced no economic benefit - indeed they may be worse off as a result of wages being forced downwards.

You know, I thought it was odd that zillionaire fat cat industrialists were cozying up to NuLabour and bunging them dodgy 'loans' - after all, Labour have never been the party of business and free enterprise. But now I see what's been going on. The fat cats don't give a flying fuck about NuLabour's pretentious socialist ideology. But they have been happy to support Labour's immigration policy, as it will drastically reduce their wage bills! No wonder they are always quaffing Bollinger and tossing each other off at these luvie cocktail parties. Of course Labour Party sorts also benefit from third world immigration, as it quells their middleclass guilt over 'The Empire' and allows then to feel smugly superior to lesser citizens (like Joe Average) and all at no financial or social cost to themselves or their public sector pals. This is because they are paid by the state (guaranteed wages and pensions) and live in leafy suburbs far from any mess, overcrowding and inconvenience caused by asylum seekers and the like.

In recent times the Labour party have talked tough about immigration. But that is all it is, talk. Talk to appease the working classes. They and their public sector, luvie chums never had the slightest intention of actually stemming the tide - quite the opposite. The fact is they have been taking the fucking Mick. Thankfully, articulate people who have a voice are now waking up to what has been going on.

Once again you've put us all under the same umbrella Dibbs

I could do a long rant and probably cut and paste a variety of arguments about immigration from the website where members have said this is Bollocks but its almost bedtime and I can't be arsed.

Out of interest though what's Dave's answer?

One suspects it's not "fuck off Big Business were here for the ordinary folk".

It's an economically complex issue and they're may not be one single simple answer. So it comes down to whether your wages or jobs are directly under threat. Whether you can get a place in hospital or down at the doctor?s surgery. Whether you resent paying more taxes to fund asylum seekers. Whether you feel harassed and stressed out by overcrowding, and whether any of your family and friends have been assaulted or otherwise inconvenienced by marauding Somali knifemen, as to whether you approve or not.

As to Dave?s answer ? well I do seem to recall him mumbling something about tightening immigration policy up at the Tory conference. The difference with Labour is that he probably means it ? though it would be to little to late. Since the Tories are traditionally the party of business and enterprise I wouldn?t expect Dave to tell any business to fuck off. But what he needs to do is make it clear that he will be very sympathetic to small (one man band) and medium sized business. Big business can generally take care of themselves. This gives everyone a way up the ladder ? if they?ve the will and a mind to take it.

Its complex but only because its been allowed to get complex.

I am must be a deep rooted Tory or something but I would:

1. Look at the Australia and others / work permit etc example. Accept the good but not the crap, apart from those we have to.

I suppose the only difficulty I have is that I'd much prefer those with essential skills to stay in their own country and help it rather than come here for money.

Foreign policy would include building / helping fund teaching hospitals etc in other countries, with exchanges between partner businesses allowed.

2. Get everyone apart from the genuine exceptions on benefits employed.

#2 may appear hard but in my opinion its relatively simple. Instead of being paid benefit a national wage is paid with the jobs being in the local councils. (Yes I do mean road sweeping etc if necessary).

No dole just turn up Monday at your local council works department and get paid at the end of the week / month or receive nothing if you don't.

A lot of things are mumbled at the Tory conference like they are mumbled at all other conferences.

I don't trust Dave or his pals simply because of what is happening here under a new Tory Council.
Crime has gone up, services have been cut with more in the pipeline and if they can mange this in such a short space of time at a local council I dread to think what they will do to the entire UK when / if elected.

Notice when comes before if because a lot (apart from the 'lovies') believe the next election will be lost.

Its all over.............its all to late.......

The last 10 years have reshaped the UK beyond anything that has passed in the 300 years....

BUT I think we get what we deserve.......for example immigration was mentioned in the last two elections....Labour calling the Tories racists and the public agreed and did not want a change in government.....we even believed Tony when he said he would serve a full term !!!!!

BUT now due to our houses not going up by a million quid a day and a loaf of bread costing a few pennies more and petrol being to expensive to go dogging we all start to blame the government and its policies.......

COME ON! THEY HAVE BEEN ELECTED for 3 elections, 2 of them with no swing at all.........so we can't blame the boys and girls in the pink palace...

Now where's my Swiss visa ??
