If the do-gooders hadn't banned DDT, malaria would not be a problem. Mossie nets should be treated with DDT, and bedrooms sprayed with it. The wider environment is not affected, but malaria is defeated. All too simple for our leaders of course.

Friend of mine has just come back from a holiday in South Africa and the blacks he spoke to are less better off, less well educated and live in more fear since the ANC took over. Most lost faith in Nelson Mandolin when he started wearing ?3000 suits and hob nobbing with Bono and other celebs.

Africa is unsolvable, I would stop all the aid, introduce strict birth control and make them realise money is made by grafting hard, not sticking out the hand to Europe and sitting on their arses or having 15 kids, 12 of which don't reach puberty. Help from western countries is fine but sustainability is what builds nations, not handouts.

Agree wholeheartedly with everything said about Africa, but I also believe that our Gordon sanctioned the donation of over ?900 million in Foreign Aid to India, last week. Why? This is a vibrant, economic powerhouse (so we are told), putting British businesses out of business (if not buying them up), with its own Nuclear capability - and this stupid knacker is giving them our money. Fuck the Bleeding Hearts, fuck the trendy liberals, fuck the 'International community', fuck Bonio & Geldof, fuck trendy charidees, and almightily fuck Gordon, Ed, Jack, Jaqui, Dawn fucking Primarilo, Hilary Benn, Hazel bastard Blears all the Blair bints and bastards, the fucking Folletts, Red Bastard Ken and the rest of the incompetent, uncaring, Feeble feckless bastards who profess to govern this country. The thing I find most annoying is that even if you leave out of the equation the untold billions that continue to be poured into Africa by guilt-tripping British poiltiicans eager for their government to be "seen to be doing something" and pandering to fashionable, headline-grabbing liberal causes, many African countries have had the chance to become - if not rich - then certainly reasonably prosperous and stable, thanks to their vast mineral wealth, fertile land (in some parts), tourist potential etc. etc.

And yet they've consistently just pissed away their opportunities in spectacular fashion.

The 'politically correct' argument of course is to blame the 19th century white European colonialists for all of Africa's ills - but that's utter bollocks because most of Africa has been independent for a couple of generations now at least, which should have been plenty of time for them to at least start putting their house in order.

But what have they had instead? A constant series of civil wars, cross-border wars, rebellions, tribes massacring other tribes, coups, counter-coups, corrupt dictators, economic mismanagement ... the list goes on. And for that they only have themsleves to blame.

So maybe Africans should get their own house in order first, before conveniently blaming their predicament on the "white man" (as that racist tyrant Mugabe in Zimbabwe is constantly doing). Because over the past few decades the "white man" has poured untold billions into Africa to try and get that continent back on its feet - yet the vast majority of this has just been pissed away spectacularly by the intended beneficiaries.

So I say fuck Africa, India and the rest - what about the UK? The NHS needs sorting, schools need sorting - and what about caring for our own needy folk and giving priority to THEM? As the old saying goes, charity begins at home.

But regrettably, "Broon" and his ilk will never learn.
