Is there a Bafta style award ceremony for the porn

I was wondering if there was an awards ceremony for the british pornstars at all, for films made in this country like best performers male female best director best film best scene stuff like that, beacause if there isnt there should be, how about bgafd hold an awards presentation like avn just for the brits, hey how about it then.

Not in the UK.
There is the major one in Las vegas anually called the AVN Awards and in Europe there is the "alternative" at the Cannes Film Festival.

why would that be the case?

There are now lots of completely legal and certified R18 releases each and every month which could be put forward as nominations for awards without any risk of prosecution by the law etc.

Whether there is the demand or a sufficient number of different producers, girls, studs etc or not to warrant it is another issue entirely.

No what we really need in the business is an annual award for all the cheats and crooks that plague the English porn industry (if I can call it that).
The American trade is vast-the Las Vegas event is all black tie/evening gowns...here it would be Jeans & open toed sandals,that's the difference.

The remark in my first post is'nt to be taken serious-but it does sum up things in this country-nobody in Parliament has said anything about this business becoming LEGAL!
When that day arrives we will all crack open a bag of crisps and join Marcus at the bar.(Drinks bar that is....)

I thought it would be a good idea, if the industry was as big as it is in america, but it isn't and we haven't got company's like evil angel and vivid, who take as much money in as hollywood film studios a year, there able to pull off these ceremony's every year, i blame the rules and laws but there put there for our safety, so blah blah blah blah
