After all the negative news from and about Africa here's some good news for a change:

Hes right. Music is a powerful influence.

Its a shame some successful rappers are not inspired to do the same instead of bigging up bangin hoes, throwing up gang signs and "slangin crack coccaine" and use that influence to make a bit of a difference like this chap did.

On another note, I watched a good bit of telly last night when I was doing my admin. It was a young lad from a council estate who gets picked on, trembling for lack of confidence and with a history of being bullied for singing. Simon Cowell asked him what is he going to do about it and he siad: "Keep on singing"...The moment he opened his mouth to sing an operatic number (or aria it think) it was as if he was someone else. Had people in tears....I have to admit I was a bit gobsmacked and choked up too.

I say this as an example how music can reach people even if its not your cup of tea.

We need more people like these
