A deplorable case of bullying and cruelty. But maybe just the term 'scum' would suffice?
Having worked with rough, tough, lads - both in factories and on construction sites during the 70's and 80's - I can say that cases like this were not uncommon. The poor fuckers who got picked on were misfits of one sort or another - to fat, too thin, to stupid, to specky. I remember one bloke (Albert) who used to get picked on quite frequently. He was a 45-year-old chap with a mental age of 12 or something. He lived with his aging, widowed, mum and had been placed with us by some Government work experience department. He was the typical village simpleton - but with a good nature, wouldn't hurt a fly. His passion was watching Val Doonican on telly (yep, I kid you not) and his favorite song was 'Paddy McGinty's Goat'. So the lads (we were all round about 20 years old at the time) had him singing this song and doing a little jig, on an almost daily basis - which of course had them in stitches. It never went much beyond that and a little horse play, but there were a couple of occasions when I did feel uncomfortable that maybe things were going a little to far.
Anyhow, the job came to an end on that site and we all moved on. It turned out all right for Albert (at least in the short term) as the council fixed him up with a job as a gravedigger at the local Cemetery. He seemed well pleased with this, and I was glad for him too, as there would probably be only a couple more blokes of his own age there, who wouldn't pick on him and take advantage like us unfeeling, rowdy, roughians. Over the intervening years I?ve often wondered where his life went from there, as his medium to long-term future looked bleak. What would become of him when his mum died? It all seemed rather melancholic.
But I digress. The point I wanted to get across was that we shouldn't let 'the race industry' get hold of a simple case of industrial bullying and use it to justify their lucrative taxpayer funded 'make work' jobs. It's in their interests (to justify their generous salaries and gold plated pensions) to make out all white folks are evil racists and everything they do has overtones of racial discrimination. Of course this is all cobblers and akin to denouncing all women in Salem as witches.

I'm usually very careful about appointing labels (satire apart), so I know that I read that article before correcting colonel. He labeled them 'nazi scum' to which I disagreed due to there being no mention of nazism within the article.
They did, however, admit to racial harassment and so I feel secure in my labeling them as such.

Indeed it does, I've experienced it.
Noticeable though any vice versa reports rarely use the certain religion attacks... but when the boot is on the other foot its usually the lead word.
A few months ago there was a gang battle with one of the gangs justs happening to be 'Muslims'.
Muslims are not a race but that's a different matter.
Turned out that it was one drug gang fighting another gang. Race / religion and the chosen headlines which the BBC and other members of the media couldn't wait to announce had fuck all to do with it.
