I'm curious that you say that about the Sex Maniacs Ball. I've crewed the Roissy Workshops dungeon there for the last few years (last year BD borrowed a paddle of mine to spank his lady!). Whilst there is a significant BDSM / Fetish presence, it's not been in the majority.

I thought there was one last year somewhere in London. I don't know 'cos I wasn't invited. Bob went I think. Apparantly Cathy Barry won 'Biggest Porn Star Ever' or something. But then I think the 'awards' were organised by one Monsieur Philip Barry. [shome mishtake shurely?] I think there the mystery is solved. Actually I think it would be quite a good idea, I would have thought channel 4 or 5 would possibly be interested. I think the biggest problem would be getting a suitable 'posh' venue. I won 'best selling video' at the '18' awards a couple of years back, at the Savoy, but they were being shitty about it all night long. After that they stopped putting sex videos in the show because not enough 'celebs' would go if there was filthy porn being talked about. [18 certificate porn that is!!]

The reason is they don't, most (not all) of the organisers behind the shows awards etc etc don't want porn at the events I know this because I have delt with them on a professional basis remeber I have stands at them and have delt with them through my show "sex Fest" on TVX. Truth is its only my opinion but it has been formed by the organisers themselfs. Could be they don't want the licencing problems or they feel we are not good enough I don't know.
As Ben say's it should be a polished event etc my only worry would be how many of the girls want everyone to know they are into porn, not many I fear. still we could hold one in a hotel room somewhere good excuse for a party what do recon Ben.

Last year I was asked to get involved in "Miss Nude UK"
It was formed, conceived and operated by a respectable/respected firm of solicitors. who happen to be hip with this biz. As they are solicitors and hence answerable to The Court, you would think that all would be Ok. Not so.
They were promised all sorts of TV coverage, live/recorded shows etc. None of which happened. They eventually were INVESTIGATED by the Law Society!! Their License to Practise was threatened.
This is England, Mother of Democracy etc. etc. etc ad nuseum.
It all sucks once "SEX" rears its ugly head.
The answer to all allied questions on this subject is very simple : Find a politicion who is unique in the sense that he is not only interested in getting himself re-elected and then rising in the Party - but woul REALLY/ACTUALLY, in Public, represent the General Populace, in this case, re PORN.
Until that miracle happens...............
