The state of Englands Prisons

Post by Von Boy »

After listening to the news today about how cushy the prisons are i really now feel that its time for a change in government........

Over the last 10 + years labour have damaged this country, i believe beyond repair....they have took away any ambition, drive and fairness out of society and destroyed the law and order of the land.....say what you like the tories can only be better....one could be worse than this lot !

I know people blame europe...BUT Labour signed up to the human rights charter within months of taking power in 97 ( The wide mouthed frog, blairs wife was behind it) Other countries, Germany, France and Spain would not sign the same full charter that the UK did.....

We can't blame anyone but our masters .....that we all have voted for

Will the last one standing please switch the light off....

!sad!

I can't believe this post............

Now, I can understand complaints about lean sentencing and being let out early....depending on the individual cases, I could see myself agreeing and disagreeing. But the important point is that I can comprehend a sensible person having such worries and complaints.

What smacks of craziness, to me, is why, oh why, oh why, you care about whether a prisoner has an Xbox & Sky tv, or not. Surely, the most IMPORTANT thing is that they're NOT on the streets robbing your gran? For me, this is the single most important factor. (I'll not even mention the obvious of treating criminals, in jail, like animals just encourages them to behave like animals upon release....ok, maybe I have just mentioned it).

Fairness? The Tories? You're winding us up aren't you?
Labour signed up to the human rights charter within months of taking power in 97
They did? OMFG!!! There's a man I know who helps out 2 days a month with a homeless charity.....lock the bastard up I say!!!! What a fucking FREAK!!!!

I used to spend a lot of time criticizing Islam on here in the noughties - but things are much better now.

It's a slightly skewed way of reporting this item. Since when was the value of a prison regime measured in terms of how keen inmates were to escape ? Let's say it was a more draconian system and the number of escapes and attempted escapes increased ... the prison officers would then get it in the neck for not doing their jobs properly, so it's a double bind and you can't win.

Yes they've got three square meals a day, a safe, controlled and medicated life with consumer goods and there are law abiding people whose needs aren't met and whose initiative and ambitions can be thwarted by bureaucracy and that's wrong. It's like the naughty boy in class getting an inordinate amount of the teacher's time and attention while the children who would benefit most from it don't get it.

There must be a creative solution to the question of the fair allocation of resources, but is fairness a governmental priority ?

Thia does'nt surprise me in the slightest.I know what we'll do.Why don't we release all the scum that are currently locked up,and throw all the hardworkers and law-biding citizens in Prison instead, for having the gaul to be different.

I was on holiday in Magaluf in 2000 and experienced a group of Northern oiks, all pissed as newts causing all sorts of trouble, and making the place look generally untidy. The Gardia rounded them all up and beat them shitless, after soaking the tossers with a water cannon.

And the fuckwit government over here are still struggling to find a solution to crack down on crime.

It's not rocket science boys.

I'd agree with you but bearing in mind Green Dave's hug a hoodie media campaign what makes you think things would be any different?

The druggie putting his ladder against a prison wall will still want to do it and the people inside causing the problems will still be inside and doing it.

Can you post the link which says when elected the Tories will resign from the human rights charter please?

The prisons are full of low lifes and scumbags who are parasites on the rest of society.Every day their numbers are increased by more dregs from the gutters. The best thing for them would be to do a shipman .Sure there are some who will turn their lives around but most are just selfish filth. Its part of living in a free country that even these wankers have rights so thats why news stories like this come out.Next time you read of some cunt nicking a car and killing a little kid remember, that in the absence of any aggravating factors, he'll be out in about 18 months while the family will be left facing a life sentence.Remember too that corrupt bulimics like Prestcott are often in charge...
