Is Broon?

Post by Officer Dibble »

...heading for a ?summer of discontent?? With Labour at it?s lowest ebb for forty years under his canny stewardship and commentators saying things have never been as bad for the Labour Party since the divi days of the donkey jacket wearing Michael Foot - can things ?only get better? from now on? I reckon there could be trouble ahead. I mean, will the greedy grasping hands of the public sector force him to open his chequebook once again ? on pain of losing their support at a general election?

And what about the rising cost of fuel? People aren?t going to stand for his taxing shit much longer (70% of the price of a liter goes to Broon). There was a haulier?s fuel protest just the other day down at the House of Commons. So is ?Bungler? Broon?s ship heading for the rocks?

And, in the light of recent events, do you reckon that Tony and Cherie will be smugly cracking open a bottle or two at the sight of their nemesis losing the plot in such an unexpectedly spectacular fashion? I?d love to be a fly on the wall at chez Blair this weekend, wouldn?t you?

Oot on his arse by Christmas I hope. I work with two Labour councillors, both hard working, focused on their ward duties and keen to improve standards across our city. Labour in parliament are keen on giving all my tax and NI to tin pot dictators, fighting illegal wars and lining their own pockets a la Mr and Mrs Balls.

Do you the McBroons in Private Eye? Superb! Jings and Crivens etc...

With over 100 Labour MPs now facing unemployment at the next general election if these local results are anything to go by then Brown is finished, and what with Boris now in charge of London if you thought things were bad for Gordon they are about to get a lot worse.

Looking at it Brown should be out on his arse.

However MP's don't see it as a problem.

They have a number of beliefs protest vote etc and think they have got two years to turn it around with Brown, especially with Green Dave running councils and Boris via Green Dave running London.

I actually think we are fucked.

When a TV personality can get elected, especially when they are a personality for being an idiot, then there is a problem.

Labour will lose the next election and when they do nobody (apart from those who aren't arsed about TV celeb nonsense) can complain about the consequence.

I think he is doomed. There were many problems already before the economic woes and the 10p debacle. The next election will be won and lost in 100 key marginals. That is why the Tories will win.

1) He is dour and reticent, where Blair was upbeat and a great communicator with, on most things, a superb political instinct (war excepted)
2) He is Scottish, not appealing to your Berkshire types who voted Nu Labour in 97.
3) Cameron
4) Clegg is irrelevant and poor. Lib dems will return to the Tories and take seats off them.
5) Brown, quite clearly, is not a leader. He is a deputy who can't make the step up.
6) If he made a step to the left, raising tax for the most well off (who are more Tory by instinct) and introduced popular measures like reducing the rate on fuel it is still winnable. He won;t as they are obsessed with appealing to the Berkshire types who have deserted them now anyway.

If Miliband had any bollocks he'd make a bid...bottom line is if they keep Brown they will lose the election. The MPs know that so I fully expect a change .probably after the County Council elections next year which will show another poor Labour performance!!

I hope he's out soon as I don't like him or trust him. But on a different note; I'd never vote Labour when they have a Scotsman in charge, who was elected to a Scottish constituency - if he wants to be PM he should get himself elected for an English seat.
