No doubt some of you may well be lamenting the loss but I cant help but feel its about bloody time something was done:



Its also come to my attention that people who do site rips and give it all away for free complain when something is done about it as if stealing and giving away someones product for free is some inconvenience to them.

I wonder how they would feel if I went round their house and took their car, had sex with their wife and helped myself to their beer.

They'd probably be most annoyed about the beer.

Been Shut for a while Torrentspy Oneeye. I still get my stuff from other places torrentspy was crap. Once one site shuts another opens.

Great news! When the Yanks dish out fines, they go for the jugular, not like the measly ?5.7mill against ITV , allowing those arch crooks, "Ant and Dec" to get off scot free. In the States they would've fried 'em!

You aint wrong there Jim...I hear Wesley Snipes has gone down for three years for evading tax for three years. He got the maximum sentence thrown at him.

Seems US judges want to make examples of these offenders....Shame the UK doesnt follow suit.

Sounds like more like they jumped ship by deleting theirs logs
As another put it even better they panicked when they could have easily justmoved offshore and out of the USAs jurisdiction

The other case(not highlighted for some reason) mentioned in the article will be the precedent I think



The case against Fung is already having ramifications for its U.S.-based users. Fung said he has cut them off from the Torrentbox and Podtropolis trackers. Fung said he feared that the American courts, as they did in the TorrentSpy case, would demand that he turn over the names or IP addresses of its U.S. users


You got to wonder whether asking for IPs is just to scare users or the beginning of a real crack down.I thinkthe former
