Jacques
I am once again having problems with my PC.
For some reason it now wants to compress files every time I come out of outlook express and very shortly after it does it freezes making me use ctrl alt delete to stop it !furious!
I've no doubt outlook is crap etc but it normally works for me and I am use to it.
When I do the ctrl alt delete to stop it windows offers a solution, after sending an error report:
Basically use Windows Defender (I think)
Is it any good?
I don't trust microsoft their help is often no help and when they do offer something you normally need a degree in pc terminology just to find the link they proffer.
I am thinking of using system restore instead but not sure if it will solve the issue.
Any ideas before I do or is Windows Defender a good thing to use?
Cheers
Andy
Jacques is Windows Defender good?
Re: Jacques is Windows Defender good?
Land Rover Defender is better!!!
Seriously when it was Giant it was excellent, Microsoft bought them out and it was decent. Recently Microsoft started to develop it more .... it is now fucked and uninstalled from my system.
Switch to Thunderbird
Massively better than anything Microsoft has to offer.

Cheers Jacques
Believe it or not the pc is fine today.
For some reason it often decides to play up and then not play up, 'end now' having to be clicked when its closing down being one of its favourites.
I take it if this is installed it overrides outlook (replaces it?) and will give it a go later.
At the moment I have an archive of emails that I can't lose.
Thanks again.
