The best team on the night lost... that's all that has to be said.

I agree with Bob, very uneven commentary by ITV waxing lyrically about United in the first half only to not appear to give Chelsea too much credit for basically pummeling United for the whole of the 2nd half - the officials didn't appear to be too fair either ... apart from that well done United - two Euro Finals two winners medals despite being 2nd best in both.
Mind you Ronaldo was head and shoulders above anybody on the pitch even when United were lost at sea.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

It's 'bollox bob', talking....well.....bollox again!

Man Utd's 1st half.
Chelsea's 2nd half.

Extra time pretty even (Man Utd shading it).

Man Utd should have been 3-0 up if it wasn't for Tevez's finishing/Cech's goalkeeping.

Lampard's goal was only from numerous ricochets than fall kindly into his path (but since they hit the woodwork twice, I'll give 'em that goal).

Drogba let his team, and club down as he may have been that 5th penalty taker.

Carvalho's lunge on Ronaldo was 2/3rds up the shin and he could have walked had it been a different ref.

Chelsea badgered the ref at every decision.

But I'm happiest because Terry missed what would have been the winning penalty. I treated myself to and extra bottle of lager in celebration. Oh how I laughed at his tears.... poor JT! !laugh!

And as the custom of this thread seemingly demands: That's all that needs to be said.

Silly me....i forgot to say:

Man Utd = double.

Chelsea = trophyless....that's right Bob 'Trophyless'

It's only a game....

Ex Fulham keeper saves spot kick from ex Man City striker. Symmetry ? I was in a pub and someone sagely said 'Bayern hit the woodwork twice'. Utd were up against it but prevailed. M-A-N-C-H-E-S-T-E-R U-N-I-T-E-D ! THE NORTH WILL RISE AGAIN.
