NuLabour Luvvies Trounced at Crewe!

Post by Officer Dibble »

As Bungler Broon's poll ratings hit an all time low a resurgent Tory Party trounces Labour's luvvie hordes in the Crewe by-election. So, is this huge by-election swing a political turning point for Britain? Last night one commentator from Liverpool Uni said, "The nation's mood is changing, it's once again becoming fashionable to vote Tory."

So why the huge swing to the Tories? Was it the crass, ill-advised, class envy campaign NuLabour ran - portraying the Tory candidate as a toff? Did ordinary voters see straight through this cack-handed ploy? Did they see that Labour luvvies had them down as unsophisticated Muppets who would surely be swayed by such a strategy? Did the good voters of Crewe form the opinion that NuLabour was taking the Mick and patronizing them? I reckon they did.

I predict a Tory landslide at the next election. Brown is dire as a Prime Minister and we woke up years ago to Tonys bullshit

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

The former Labour party may be likened to a person who is committing suicide in a long, slow fashion by the ingestion of gradually increasing amounts of warfarin, resulting in internal haemorrhaging in random parts of the body.

In a word Yes.

The arse who organized the campaign should be sacked. It allowed people to focus on that and not question what the Tory would do.

The 10p tax quite rightly caused a lot of shit. Brown and as such the Labour Candidate (and make no mistake this wasn't a vote on candidates) was in a lose lose situation even after his u -turn.

Question the Tories on it and they don't have any solution saying, if I recall, they need to look at the books. When pushed in terms of IF they could do anything would they change it and they don't answer.

Post Office closures is another biggy (for some) they would delay but won't admit if they will eventually close - because they know it needs to be done.

Petrol erm not sure.

People need to look at the shit they are in, the reasons why they are in the shit and more importantly what the Tories will do to get us out of the shit.

I don't think after so many years remembering how bad it was under the Tories often helps but it really needs to be done.

They didn't and I suspect still couldn't give a fuck about entire communities, they don't and I suspect still couldn't give a fuck about workers rights and that is what people in Crewe and Nantwich should be interested in.

I suspect a huge landslide in favour of the Tories at the next election, I suspect from what they are saying about 'saving for a rainy day' to mean massive cuts in public services and I suspect they will be in office for 8 years after which we will back well and truly in the shit.

So basically they (Tories) look good on telly?

Green Dave is very good and a miles better than Brown at the Punch and Judy stuff (which he claimed he wanted to stop) but I thought everyone had had enough of that.

One of the benefits of being around when the mines were being shut, strikes were happening what felt like every month, poll tax was invented and rates were huge is remembering how shit it felt.

I don't blame anyone for wanting change but wanting it because they look better on telly just doesn't do it for me.

BTW Snout in the trough Prestcott and ,Holy Boy Tony aren't there anymore.

Could it be that the English masses just don't fancy being ruled by a Scot??!wink!

The tories have not got a clue what planet they are on never mind having a go at running the country ... electing them will probably be the biggest mistake this country makes - yes times are tough, the gravy train has maybe hit the buffers, but think back to the last time the tories were in power and you will see that the projected hardships are nothing like we endured then.

If the tories are elected I can very much see the call for complete Scottish Independance as no way will us Scots face being governed by a Tory Party who has not won a single seat in Scotland ... it just can't happen.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

I thoroughly recommend independance for Scotland.

I would further suggest that we build some form of barrier at the border - a wall perhaps.

Which other non-native English would you have deported?

Be very, very careful what you wish for.
