google alerts

is there any way of making them last longer, I typed in something , got alerts for a week, then nothing and this is something that there would be new stuff coming from.

Google Alerts should last indefinately once set up, but only update you depending on how often your site is reindexed/respidered or those who link to you...

One of my sites (non-porn) has a page rank of 6 and get's respidered several times a day, so i get plenty of alerts as my site name is set as an alert keyword - another site is only a pr of 2 and it gets reindexed far less often... as such i don't get as many alerts...

another thing I'm discovering is I'm not getting any emails now to initiate the alert.

Worth logging into your Google account and checking your account settings for the alerts...
