It's timeless stuff, Steve---and no accident that Motown (and Stax, for that matter) held sway over the charts for years.

Whenever I hear those classics, I can't get the sight of Diana Ross shagging Gordy and getting him to replace Florence (a far better singer) with herself!

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Could not agree more Ace!!

Intersting to hear Diana Ross tell the story of the last ever Supremes perfomance on the Ed Sullivan show. Where she still insists on making it sound like she was the injured party in the whole thing!!!

I didn't realise untill the other week, just how long the "Supremes" kept going after Ross left and just how many line up changes they went through.

Saw Mary Wilson on TV the other week and thought what a really nice lady she was and was amazed that (on screen at least) she had nothing but nice things to say about Ross!! Would liked to have asked her off camera what she really thought about her....

Cheers

I have noticed that Ace

That is one of the great things about Girl Groups. All though we all know virtually all bands hate each other, blokes seem a lot better at hiding it!!

For me it was obvious that the Spice girls and All saints were about to go tits up,from the looks they shot each other on stage and in interviews.

The two greastest examples of this EVER have gotta be "Eternal" and the "Sugababes" With eternal you all ways got the feeling there was going be a scrap right there in front of Philip Scholfield and Sarah Greene. And with the Sugababes....you all ways know when one of them is about to "Have a difference of opinion"
