Holland v Italy

Post by Ace »

Now THAT was a game, bit hard on Italy for the off-side goal Ruud scored, but Holland looked brilliant.
Comiserations to my learned pony-tailed friend who is probably gutted at a 3-0 scoreline

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Best team so far = Holland 1st goal was offside but they made their luck as Ruud should have had a penalty before that. Could have been 4-0.

Still think Italy will go through as France looked awful earlier.

Yep best game I think I have seen for quite a while - I don't often say this but bad luck Italy - no way they deserved that scoreline. Will be interesting to see if both teams can keep that sort of attitude, skill, passion & workrate going though.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

ONE of the best internationals I've seen a long while.

Italy had a stack of chances but failed to take them and Holland were ruthless on the break. Clearly the first goal was offside but the other two were brilliant examples of how to attack from your own goal line all the way down to the other end of the pitch.

Nice to see Reds player Dirk Kuyt play his heart out (again) creating two of the goals.

Yes, finally, the tournament has taken off...

The Dutch beating the Germans in the final again would be a fitting conclusion...de ja vu 1988...almost make up for 1974

Best game of the tournament so far.in contrast, the Romania v France game was the worst so far.

On this performance, the Dutch will horse France, but Italy still have a chance.

So we lost then? Who shall I cheer on now? Didn't get to see all the game just enough to watched my boys get stuffed. When do Arsenal play?
