EURO 2008 Fantasy League

Post by Bob Singleton »

I've created a BGAFD league for EURO 2008 if any of the usual suspects are interested

First "unlimited free transfers" deadline is 5.00pm GMT on 7th June, so you can pick a team now and still make changes (in case of last minute injuries) until then without incurring a penalty.

Nice work Bob,i'll join later !thumbsup!

I think there's an injuries link on the UEFA website, which updates people on what players are injured, the context of the injury and how long the player is likely to be out for.

Pure genius !happy!

Just bumping this back to the top given there is less than a week before the tournament kicks off

He wasn't in my team (I've avoided defenders from any country in "the group of death" as it's just too close to judge who may win the games)

Good strategy Bob.I've gone with one defender from the group of death.I've based my team on a reliable keeper,a solid defence,a dynamic midfield and a deadly front two.

I'm in it to win it !drink!.

I've based my team on players from Czech Republic, Portugal, Croatia, Germany, France, Spain and Sweden, who I think are likely to win their opening games

All four of my defenders, as well as my goalie, kept clean sheets. All my midfielders similarly picked up bonus points for clean sheets, with one getting a goal. Sadly neither of my 2 strikers scored, but one had one assist while my other striker (and captain) had two assists to his name. All my players, including my sub, were starters, and he also scored points had he needed to be used.
