I'm using BT - yes, a bit on the expensive side but, I've never had any problems with my connection and suchlike. !thumbsup!

be* no FUP (well there is a FUP but it has never been enforced to anybody) and I'm getting 18Mbps for?18 per month

Comes with a cd-rom that shows you what to set up and how to do it.

Best for reliable service probably BT.

Best value if you are in a cabled street perhaps a Virgin package of broadband / phone / basic cable TV as you can give up your BT phone line so no rental.

Sky initially looks good but you you have to pay BT line rental too.

Virgin is a bit of a pain in the arse if you want to change to another user...
