Security in nightclubs really is crap Steve.Bouncers will only search someone at their discretion ie:if one has a face of intimidation, chances are they will be searched.

Most groups looking for trouble won't queue up outside a nightclub together,as that draws attention to themselves.

The searching process at a nightclub is the same at a football match, where people will be randomly searched.

I do agree though, the searching process at nightclubs does have to change.

Chances are he was up to no good Steve.British Transport Police should also have the powers to stop and search.

Knife crime in Britain, especially London has definetley got out of hand.

No justification for the poor lads murder in any but an uncomfortable question that isn't being asked is a why 16 year old was in a bar underage.

"Ben was out with friends" and "a good boy" BUT Ben should not have been in a bar with friends.

Were trying to tell kids not to do bad things but then saying its OK to do some.

As I said no justification for the murder but the sad reality is that if Ben hadn't been in a place that he shouldn't haven been in he would not have been killed there.

I see your point and although YOU are right about the underage thing perhaps he was invited out that evening.

Doesn't matter if he was invited out or not Steve.

As I said the sad and unfortunate reality is that if Ben hadn't been braking the law he probably wouldn't have been killed.

it is just really sad to be honest. details are not known about why ben was stabbed but in todays climate you can be attacked just for looking at someone the wrong way. to be honest its about time the authorities and people in power really grab this whole knife culture by the scruff of the neck. to carry a knife is pethetic!!! also yes maybe the lad shouldnt have been drinking but then again to stab someone to death is a crime in a different league!!!

The bouncers are probably scared to search groups of black youths - for fear of being shot or stabbed themselves.
