The Faces to reform!!

Post by Ace »

Well, Old Rod looks like he's finally doing it, so we have Ronnie Wood who's having a 'Bill Wyman' phase according to the front pages today, as well as Kenney Jones and Ian McLagen.
Obviously Ronnie Lane is otherwise 'indisposed' so guess who is the front runner to play bass?
Yep, HUGE Small Faces/The Faces fanatic, Glen Matlock on bass!!
A good call I'm sure you'll agree.

Hey Ace

As much as I love the Small faces I have never been a huge fan of The faces. Although I must admit that 'Stay with me' is one of my all time favourite tracks.

I have to agree with you in the choice of bass players. Can't think of any one else I would like to see fill the boots of the GREAT man him self.

But personally I wil give it a wide berth and keep listening to Mr Marriot and the gang and Ronnie with Slim chance.

If this thread don't bring Andi from Handiwork out of the shaddows, nothing will lol

Cheers

BB

I agree that The Small Faces were vastly better than The Faces, especially as Rod took the lead. I do like Gasoline Alley I have to admit!
But, Marriot over Rod? No contest! Steve Marriot everytime for me!

...Pity is, go back one incarnation to the original Jeff Beck Group; Beck, Stewart, Wood and Waller and you have the prototype Zepplin, Faces, Bad Company and any Jazz Rocker - but Jeff and Rodders can't find a stage large enough for both ego's.

That though I would pay to see
