Hi Colonel. You are correct. Apart from 1979-1983, Montgomeryshire has always been Liberal. The previous M.P., Alex Carlile, was a class act. He kept a low profile and got on with the job. He would have seen the recent post office closures coming! Limp dick didn't even attend the commons debate on the matter!
The reason that Lembit has kept his seat is the "townie" vote. He's often out on the piss around the bigger towns. I met him and Sian Lloyd on new years eve a few years. Me and a mate got talking to Sian in welsh. Boy did he not like that! He's a prick!

Lord Carlile of Berriew is the Independent Assessor of Control Orders on terror suspects- an important role that means national security is not threatened but people are only 'controlled' as and when MI5/MI6 deem it necessary. Montgomeryshire is one of only 5 or 6 Liberal safe seats- the 'pig on a wall' seats- like Surrey for the Tories or central Scotland for Labour.

I have a confession to make, i voted for him! I was voting for the lib-dems to keep the tories out. I will NOT vote liberal again while he is m.p. Same goes for the local a.m. Mick Bates, master bates more like!
