Keep an eye on your local papers over the next few months regarding you police service.......applications are now being sought for the next commisioner for the Met , Ian Blair due to "retire" next year and the greater manchester service need a new one to replace the chappie who topped himself earlier this year.....Salaries being ?180K to ?275K for the Met.
You will notice more local police activity, local papers having success stories about how the local bobbies are doing well, more visable police and an increase in the spending for the greater public's wellbeing, cutting sick days lost..... (the next C/constable would then have to balance the books!)
By building up a positive publicity file helps the individual application for the jobs....only chief constables from smaller forces can apply for these positions......
