Who pays for the BBC's wrongs?
Re: Who pays for the BBC's wrongs?
Well if you apportion the fine given to the BBC across all the TV licence payers it only works out to about 2p for each licence.
So I don't think they can use the fine as an excuse for raising the licence fee!

Of course they can, they can justify any increase however they want.

I think the recent licence fee agreement takes us through to 2011 or so anyway if I'm not mistaken (I may be entirely wrong though), so any increase wouldn't come until after this agreement ends.
Although by then this whole thing will have blown over I'd imagine.
