A tale of two moralities

The third Lord Rothermere, 'lost his virginity in a Cairo brothel with cubicles separated only by curtains'. He didn't really care that much and 'thought so much of his family that he kept a mistress for 15 years and drove his sad, lonely wife to death'. Naturally he was never a follower of what politicians so trendily call family values. 'What does that phrase mean? I've not the least idea! It doesn't mean anything. Today, the whole idea is that morality is a matter of opinion.'

The current Lord Rothermere, has 'fathered an illegitimate son' by a New Zealand girl who once worked for his mum - and that while his Lordship 'preaches about single parents' the boy has to live 'on the other side of the world', seldom, if ever, meeting 'the father who plays no part in his upbringing'.


So the Rothermere's then. Nice family eh? Oh and don't forget proprietors of that morality rag 'The Daily Mail' so reverend round these parts.

Aye, shocking isn't it, all these 'Toffs' an that, good job the Labour luvvies have never have affairs and stuff, still you can rely on them when it comes to finances 'n that.

What about that disgrage of a man, Livingstone who has 5 children by 3 women? .... he probably made sure they were ethnically diverse to keep some street cred

The Rothermeres sum up all that is wrong with the English Tory establishment- hypocrisy, snobbery, arrogance, elitism, hatred and a blind disdain for anything not traditional and English in public- whilst doing what the hell they like in private.

I think that sums up most people, they'll do whatever they think they can get away with in private - regardless of their public front.

No I didn,t miss the Hypocrisy at all, the real hypocrisy is saying that only the Rothmeres have fathered Illigitimate children and had sex in Brothels.
Plainly not true. Why, the Colonel - a commited communist and molester of half eaten pies has probably fathered more offspring than Attilla the hun.

Not what I said at all. The Rothermere's preach morality through their empire but don't actually practice it.
