Never heard of Nicole Cooke, but I was hoping the UK got no medals at all - because the Olympics as a sporting occasion is basically a load of old tosh.
I was over the moon to hear some Czech bint won the first gold in the Women?s 10m Air Rifle Shooting event! That's not a sport - because any fooker with a steady hand and endless time to practice could get to the Olympics.
