Radiohead, Coldplay and U2 are shit

U2 are the best kick ass rock and roll band in the world! They constantly challenge themselves and their legacy is some beautiful music.They are also a group of 'nice' people .Magnificent musicians.Period.Bono also has a heart and sees a lot of the shit in the world.He is deeply religeous and his position enables him to get his voice noticed more than most.Yea he's a twat at times but he is certainly not up his own arse like many in the business .Their next tour will sell out in minutes because their live concerts are magnificent events.

As for their stuff being routine..listen again to 'The Unforgettable Fire',and 'Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own' written 20 years on.

There are any number of pairs like this to show they are anything but!

Try 'Kite' if you want moving or 'Wild Honey' if you want a lovely tune!

There are a couple of U2 CD's I could listen to all the way through; 'Everything you can't leave behind' and 'Unforgettable Fire', although I haven't in a long time. Apart from that they've been a singles band for me - and maybe two or three tracks off any album. If I had to compile a top 10 of all time, I'd probablty include 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for'.

The days of 10-12 track albums and every one a 'killer' are over. They started to decline with the CD which made skipping and programming tracks much easier.

Another forum I fequent has a simple "what are you listening to?" thread.
Its quite strange as there are kids on there aged 19/20 who know more about the music from the 60/70s than someone who lived in them.,SAD

I dont think i'll ever be a coldplay or radiohead fan as theres too much other music that resonates better but that doesnt make them shite
just not my preferred cup of teacup

Anyone who puts them down because of the marketing hype and ensuing popularity that surrounds them needs to move on
