Techo question

Post by Dave Wells »

Gang, can anybody help me with a computer problem. When I click on a link in an email in outlook it goes to save it somewhere and in outlook express nothing at all happens. Any ideas how to fix this please ?

Im not aware that outlook express saves the link, do you mean an attatchment, if so make sure you have your settings in options set to open/save attatchments, if you mean a link in outlook express then you will just have to click on the link go to the page and save it as a favourite, or bookmark it.

No, no, no !

When I click on the link in OUTLOOK (not Outlook Express) it only gives me an option of saving it. Well I don't want to save do I, I want to go to it thats why I clicked on it. But in Outlook Express nothing at all happens.

Hmm, have you installed a new browser ( for example have you tried Google Chrome? )

If you have it might just have installed itself as the default browser without telling Outlook / OE.

Just check your browser settings to make sure it's still listed as "Default"

Then just copy and paste the link into your browser, what the problem? or make sure you set your default programmes correctly, your either using outlook express or outlook, you canny have it both ways, if you choose outlook express you should just be able to click on a link someone sends you and your browser will open and go to it, if this is not happening, check which browser you are using, ie internet explorer for outlook express.., if it still doesn,t work try re-installing outlook express, you can do this on xp through add remove windows programmes.

I have one email account in Outlook and another that I want seperate in Outlook Express.
I use Opera as my browser but it doesn't have set as default option (well I can't find it). But that's my point gang my outlook and outlook express doesn't go to any browser ?
Interesting article Deuce but no answer.
