I have a syncmaster 720n and I am ready to commit monitor murder with a hammer. The brightness display keeps popping up on screen and then increases, blocking my view of whatever is on screen and also hurting my eyes!!
What the fuk is wrong with it and canm it b fixed and do I just go psycho with my hammer?

Could be as simple as brighness button sticking or something across the button connections.
Could equally be electronic fault.
A good independent TV repair shop ought to be able to fix for a price, just got to find one as with the cost of new equipment so low many have gone out of business due to lack of work.
