A Day In The Life
Re: favourite beatles song
Tomorrow Never Knows. Way... way before its time. Sounds like something that you would hear from Chemical Brothers or Air.
Re: favourite beatles song
As somone who grew up during the 1960s the Beatles were a big part of my life (and everbody's life at that time).
Asking you to pick a favorite song is like asking you to pick your favorite child.
I cannot narrow it to one but have chosen the following:
Early stuff: She Loves You.
Still sounds great today, and the "Yeah Yeah Yeah" became the Beatles catch phrase for a while:
John song: In my life.
Just a great song
Paul Song: Eleanor Rigby
Another great song, with great production from George Martin
Love song: And I love her
Just one of many great Beatles love songs
Later Song: Strawberry Fields Forever
They just led the way at the time
Mind you, on another day it may be 5 diferent songs.
They just made so many good songs.

For those that have never heard Tomorrow Never Knows, listen here
This was off the album Revolver which came out in 1996.
This was only 3 years after the Beatles first singles, with their simple pop songs like "Love me do" and so on.
The progress in those 3 years is staggering.
To think this was on a "pop" album in 1996 is amazing. No wonder all the other groups at the time looked up to the Beatles and though "Why cant WE do that"
I do think LSD had some contribution to this song !

Whoops
>This was off the album Revolver which came out in 1996.
I mean 1966 !
Must add credit to producer George Martin on this song.
I think without him the Beatles would not have been the huge group they were.

Re: favourite beatles song
1966 was a good year for music anyway .
Re: favourite beatles song
The Beatles were way ahead of their time. Even back in the 60s they were covering Oasis songs.
