A life fulfilled me thinks.....

Who cares. I said it as a mark of respect.

Did you know he made more money from his salad dressing business than he did as an actor?

Did you know he dedicated all that profit to the business and to charity? he didnt take a penny from that business.

He is a top geezer of the highest order and a hero.

I cant imagine the pain he must have felt when losing his son to a drug overdose (or was it alcohol)

Theres got to be a bio pic of this man for sure and if Mr Newman had it his way, the profits would be going to another charity.

I understand Sean Connery has pissed off his son by stating his money will go to a charity when he dies because he feels that Jason should earn his own way in the world the way he did.

I can understand that. I'm not sure Jason does though.

Ok back to Paul Newman.

YES, a very sad loss indeed. A true acting legend - what a cv of films - and an all-around decent fella given his incredible charity work.

One of the best stories about him was when crooked US President Richard Nixon compiled a list of people he didn't like, Newman was absolutely furious to find his name wasn't on it!!!

And in these days of celebrity relationships falling apart after about five minutes, it was refreshing to see his marriage to Joanne Woodward lasted for donkey's years.

As for my favourite scene from a Newman film, I'd go with his "drunken" appearance on the train playing cards with Doyle Lonnegan (brilliantly played by Robert Shaw) in the magnificent movie "The Sting" - where he cheats his way to win the hands and steals Lonnegan's wallet to boot!
