Banco Santander.....what if ?

Post by Von Boy »

What if Santander gets into trouble ????.....they own Abbey, A&L and now B & B ........and it could, as it goes off on a world wide spending spree !

and will the Lloyds deal really go ahead and buy HBOS.....paying at the moment over 2 billion more than the shares are worth at the close of business Monday 29th.

Funny times !

An interesting announcement this morning from the Irish government - they're guaranteeing all customer deposits in their entirety for the next 2 years. Only last week they upped the limit to ?100,000. We need a similar guarantee from the government.

Most Post Office accounts in the UK are backed by Bank of Ireland, so they will get this coverage.
