From reading the other pieces on the avn site, it would appear that the judge bent over backwards to be as fair and lenient as sentencing protocols allowed, even conceeding that there were numerous grounds for appeal. Whatever you think of MaxH, it is obvious that his prosecution is the way things will be going in the US with regard to the moral guardians attacking porn. First the easy ones like Max and then the industry as a whole.

By the by, knowing that he had a fairly decent house in LA, I used the court records, the LA phone book and Google street view and visual references from several of his videos trailers, and found his crib in about 10 mins. He didn't appear to be shooting outside at the time the google van passed. Pretty impressive place for a pornographer.

He is going to serve in a minimum security prison, 'club fed' as such institutions are called, alongside crooked accountants, bent politicians, and other white collar types. I doubt if there'll be all that much 'careful you dont drop the soap' worries.

I posted this on here some years ago but I once (1996) shared a villa with him in Cannes for the festival and to be honest he was charming and even kind to 'our lot' but when his camera guy started recording he changed into the masoganist moron that you see in his movies. And fuck could he drink !

There may not be worries from his point of view but what about the other inmates ? His sadistic streak will need to find an outlet somehow and if his performances are triggered by cameras then CCTV may in Max's case encourage crime rather than deter it.

As the less socially acceptable aspects of his personality tend to be directed at the young women in his work, I imagine that his fellow male inmates will be safe from him. He might even get some treatment for his 'problems' as the judge has said there will be a reduction in length of time inside if he attends alcohol counciling.
