I see Bland (sic) says 'it was offensive, but very funny'
I assume we can expect a lot of very funny racist jokes on the BBC from now on.
Maybe Bland would like to tell some 'very funny' Mohammed jokes?

Re: Brand Ross
Personally I always found Jonathan Ross hit & miss with his jokes, generally better on the telly than on radio.
Russell Brand is for me miss & miss. I often have Radio 2 on in the background, and with some programs I don't like (such as big band music, quite a cacophony in my book) I ponder whether it's worth walking over to the radio and switch to another station. When Mr Brand comes on I stop pondering and switch over like a shot.
It's not that I would mind the swearing. Inserted in the right place, swearing can be an effective tool of comedy. What I mind is that the swearing comprises Brand's whole act, there is nothing else beside it; and that he constantly laughs at his own non-jokes makes it even worse.
What they were thinking with the Andrew Sachs stunt is beyond me. Just imagine Chris Langham had done a radio program, and left a message on Jonathan Ross's phone that he'd done one of his children.

Re: Suspended
Suspended on full pay, no doubt. Has either of them made a public apology about their pathetic 'stunt'? Or does the BBC have to do everything for them, while they hide in the background, saying nothing?
Just sack them both, and do us all a favor.
Then with the money that the BBC will save on their wage bill, they could fill both Ross & Brands chairs with decent funny people at a third of the cost, or less.
