Roll on Scottish independence and we can ditch this stupidity. As I say, if its dark in the morning, its always getting lighter. Give us that extra hour in the afternoon.

Yea I cant see the point these days pf chaning the clocks.
The old excuse of we need to because of the children walking home from or to school is a load of bollocks as most get driven by huge 4x4's to school.

many countries do this around the world
but surely with the onset of climate change, this practice should be stopped. the increase in using gas/electic for an extra hour every night must total to a lot of extra pounds for the utility companies

I hate these dark nights not because they are bleak or dull because Kids do walk home from school, we have 3 schools near us and kids walking home in the dark is never good, crap drivers who speed, already seen 4 accidents over the last 2 years involving kids at this time of year. As well as dark areas, alleys where kids dont think twice about walking through. Keep it as light as we can for the kids. Stop this draconian practice.
