Its cheap, thats why they do it, especially in the Saturday-early-evening-never-gets-good-viewing-figures slot.

As for good stuff, BBC4 turns up some gems, and Sky Arts has some decent bands on, much in HD too.

Yes BBC4 had a load of Neil Young last nite and the previous friday had a prog on Jeff beck Live and plenty on 60s, 70s and 80s guitar heroes.
