Anyone else depressed by the weather?

It seems to have rained all day every day for at least a week now. I live in London and aswell as the rain it has been very windy too. I have the day off today and was going to go into town but am holed up in my flat on account of the rain and the wind. Is it like this all over the UK today? And has it been like this every day for the last week or so all round the country? I can't think of a time when it has rained this solidly, for this long, ever. And with the clocks changing and the darker nights suddenly arriving, at the same time as all this rain, makes for a depressing picture! Anyone else feel a bit gloomy because of this?

I've not known it to rain continuously like this for 7 or more days straight. It might even be 14 days straight, I've lost count. However, I grabbed my large golfing umbrella and went for a walk for an hour this afternoon. It wasn't windy, just chucking it down. Had a really nice walk actually. Hardly anyone about...

Try coming a few hundred miles north and you'd find out that the weather can be worse - I can't remember the last day when we didn't get rain.
