It was also a great shame that their careers were effectively over when they were still in their early 20's - Mitch in particular should have been one of the leading lights of the rock scene.

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

Given his early death Jimi didnt do too well financially out of the Experience either.
Maybe given their diminishing numbers some of the Rock stars of that era should stop throwing their toys out of the pram and do some performing. ie Cream Zep Rod whats left of Floyd and the Animals etc.
Mitch was a nice bloke by the way

>It was a terrible shame that him and Noel Redding did so badly financially out of being in Hendrix's band.

I remember reading an interview with Noel Redding (bassist of Experience, now dead of course).

He said that at the height of their fame he was earning about ?15 a week.

Of course the bosses, agents, record executives etc were raking it in, but the band were being paid peanuts.

When he started complaining about how much he was paid he was sacked from the band.
